Pottery Experiences
Step away from the everyday and get your hands dirty — in the best possible way.
Whether you're planning a team event, club outing, birthday gathering, or something a little different for your next event, The Clay Collective offers hands-on pottery sessions that bring people together in a genuinely memorable way. No experience needed. Just curiosity, a sense of humour, and the willingness to get a little muddy.
What to Expect
Your session takes place in our welcoming studio in Market Harborough, guided by a experienced potters who'll walk your group through everything step by step. All materials and tools are provided, and aprons are available so you don't need to worry about your clothes. Hot beverages and light refreshments are included, and you're welcome to bring your own cold drinks — including alcohol — to help set the celebratory mood.
Session Options
For smaller groups of 4–6 people, you'll have the choice of wheel throwing or handbuilding — perfect for a more intimate experience where everyone gets focused attention and the chance to try the wheel.
For larger groups of up to 12 people, we run handbuilding sessions using the pinch pot technique — a wonderfully tactile and sociable way to work with clay that's surprisingly easy to pick up and endlessly satisfying.
What Happens to Your Pieces?
Your creations won't be going home on the day — but that's part of the magic. Once your session is complete, every piece is carefully fired and glazed. Around 4 weeks later, your finished pottery is ready to collect — a lasting reminder of a brilliant day.
Pricing
4 – 6 people (throwing): £72 per person
4 - 6 people (handbuilding): £60 per person
7 – 12 people (handbuilding): £45 per person
